Job summary

O-I is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor at our Auburn, NY facility. The role supports the Plant Engineer in leading both salaried and hourly staff across maintenance, cold end mechanization, and batch/furnace operations.

Responsibilities include directing preventive maintenance, inspections, safety compliance, and coordinating work with contractors while driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has a strong industrial maintenance background and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor degree in Engineering preferred.
3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
Glass industry experience preferred.
Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

Direct preventive maintenance programs.
Conduct periodic inspections of plant systems, equipment, facilities and grounds; oversee corrective actions and upgrades.
Ensure quality of work performed by maintenance and production staff.
Coordinate and supervise construction and service work by outside contractors.
Oversee health and safety issues affecting ergonomic factors.
Supervise training of personnel to ensure electricians and electronic techs are properly trained.
Communicate and enforce safety and environmental regulations.
May oversee parts of the plant apprenticeship program.
