Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to provide leadership at the Houston location and ensure delivery of annual business plans. You will oversee daily operations, drive on-time performance, and manage call center and customer relations activities to meet contract requirements.

The role requires 1–3 years of management experience in paratransit, scheduling and personnel management skills, and the ability to work independently with strong written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of management experience in a similar sized paratransit environment.
• Experience in scheduling and personnel management and training.
• Strong written and verbal skills and ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of contractual obligations for the job.
• Trapeze experience preferred.
• Experience managing a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage on-time performance and driver availability.
• Effectively manage all call center functions.
• Effectively manage customer relations through direct contact and outreach programs.
• Identify, select, train and mentor location staff.
• Communicate with location staff and support team members.
• Assist in overseeing safety and training programs to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Contribute to maintaining the safety culture of the division.
• Maintain client contact routinely to meet or exceed expectations.
• Assist with conducting periodic departmental audits.
• Review key operational metrics daily, weekly and monthly.
• Implement, promote and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Participate in location labor and employee relations activities.
