Job summary

Viking Electric in Mankato, MN is hiring an Operations Supervisor to oversee location-specific operations with direct oversight of drivers, inventory specialists, and receiving associates. You will support the Operations Manager in safety, workforce, material management, facility, delivery, and inventory processes to meet established standards and budgets.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in operations, logistics, or distribution.
• Supervisory and sales/counter experience preferred.
• Knowledge of distribution and warehousing processes.
• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in workforce management including recruitment, development, retention, and performance management of operations staff.
• Manage location operations daily including productivity, workflow, staffing, inventory, fleet, and customer service levels.
• Provide a safe working environment through compliance and enforcement of policies.
• Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, HR, and Corporate Operations to ensure a profitable customer service model.
• Improve quality standards in service, processes, inventory control, and loss prevention.
• Oversee building, grounds, assets, and fleet in collaboration with corporate resources.
• Monthly oversight of operating expenses and KPIs.
