Job summary

Viking Electric, part of the Sonepar family, is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager in Mankato, MN. This full-time role starts on a 4:00am schedule, Monday–Friday, with an annual salary range of $58,000 to $79,000.

The position supports operations, safety, and customer fulfillment under the Operations Manager, with direct oversight of drivers and inventory staff. Responsibilities include workforce management, daily operations, safety compliance, cross-department collaboration, and KPI

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in operations, logistics, or distribution environment.
• Supervisory and sales/counter experience preferred.
• Knowledge of distribution and warehousing processes and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in workforce management, recruitment, development and performance of operations staff.
• Oversee daily location operations including productivity, staffing, inventory, fleet, and customer service levels.
• Maintain safe working environment and ensure policy compliance.
• Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, HR, and Corporate Ops to provide a profitable service model.
• Improve quality standards in service, processes, inventory control and loss control.
• Oversee assets, facility services, and fleet with corporate resources.
• Monthly oversight of operating expense budget and KPIs.
