Job summary

Viking Electric, a member of the Sonepar group, is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager at our New Berlin, WI location. The role oversees location-specific operations with direct responsibility for drivers, inventory specialists, and receiving associates, driving on-time order fulfillment and safety.

The ideal candidate has ops/logistics experience, knowledge of warehouse processes, and the ability to manage KPI and budget targets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in operations, logistics, or distribution environment; supervisory and sales/counter experience preferred.
• Knowledge of progressive distribution and warehousing processes and equipment.
• Knowledge of VE's systems, processes, products, and market knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in workforce management including recruitment, development, retention, and performance management of assigned operations associates.
• Assist in daily management of location operations including productivity, workflow, staffing, inventory, fleet, and customer service levels.
• Provide a safe working environment through compliance and education of Viking Electric policies.
• Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, Human Resources, and Corporate Operations to provide a profitable customer service model.
• Oversee building, grounds, and Viking Electric assets in collaboration with corporate resources.
• Monthly oversight of annual operating expense budget and KPIs.
