St. Mary’s Medical Center is seeking an innovative nurse leader to coordinate clinical activities in the Adult Emergency Department and supervise the care provided by ED staff. The role partners with the health care team to drive exemplary patient outcomes.

The assistant manager is a registered nurse who uses critical thinking to oversee ED operations and collaborate across departments, ensuring high-quality, efficient care.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree, BSN preferred.
• Experience: 2-3 yrs RN experience in emergency nursing.
• License: REGISTERED NURSE.
• Certification: BLS/CPR (AMERICAN HEART ASSN) NIHSS 3 CEU COURSE ACLS (AMERICAN HEART ASSN) CPI (WITHIN 30 DAYS) PALS by 12/31/2019. INEXPERIENCED: (WITHIN 180 DAYS OF HIRE OR TRANSFER) TNCC by 5/30/2020. INEXPERIENCED: (WITHIN 2 YEARS OF HIRE OR TRANSFER)

The assistant manager is a registered nurse who, using critical thinking skills, coordinates the clinical activities within the Adult Emergency Department and collaborates with other members of the health care team. She/he directly and indirectly supervises the care rendered by all emergency service line staff.
