Job summary

Aperion Care in Chicago Heights, IL, seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the daily functions of the Nursing Department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards.

The ADON will help develop policies, ensure regulatory compliance, supervise staff, participate in surveys, and assist in resident discharge planning while maintaining high quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree (RN) from an accredited college or university.
• Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing facility, or related health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating daily nursing operations.
• Develop, maintain and update policies and procedures governing nursing services.
• Ensure staff follow job descriptions and assist in recruitment and staffing decisions.
• Participate in facility surveys and discharge planning activities.
• Oversee medication passes, treatment schedules, and quality improvement activities.
• Provide direct nursing care as needed and support a safe, compassionate resident environment.
