Job summary

You will participate in recruitment, unit huddles, and performance management, while guiding evidence-based practice projects and resolution of conflicts. BSN in progress encouraged; strong clinical leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing or nursing diploma required.
• BSN in progress or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Minimum 3 years recent nursing experience in OR or equivalent.
• NJ State RN license required.
• AHA Basic Life Support HCP certification required.
• National Certification preferred for Magnet Recognition.

Responsibilities

• Participate with recruitment and retention strategies.
• Assist with unit huddles and leader rounding with employees.
• Participate in unit goal creation reflective of hospital goals.
• Lead or participate in evidence-based practice projects or research.
• Resolve conflicts and facilitate constructive resolutions.
• Complete employee corrective action plans/counseling as necessary.
• Prepare and conduct periodic performance evaluations for staff.
• Monitor the unit orientation process for all roles as necessary.
• Lead multidisciplinary rounds to optimize patient care experience.
• Ensure unit-based performance improvement monitoring is completed.
