Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Nurse Manager to provide high-quality nursing care with 24/7 accountability for the assigned unit(s) in New Jersey. You will oversee daily operations, promote interprofessional collaboration, and ensure compliance with regulations while driving strategic projects and patient and staff experiences.

The ideal candidate has a BSN, RN license, and nursing leadership experience, with strong teamwork, adaptability and a commitment to ongoing education to deliver

Qualifications

• BSN degree required.
• Three years' experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Nursing leadership experience.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs; strong accountability; teamwork and ongoing education for high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development, implementation and evaluation of nursing care and goals related to patient care, quality and initiatives.
• Manages day-to-day operations and ensures staff are versed in emergency/disaster response policies with unit-specific plans.
• Monitors nursing standards, policies, and guidelines to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Plans, evaluates and monitors budgetary priorities related to patient care, including payroll and scheduling.
• Promotes cost-effective use of resources while managing acuity, staffing, productivity, and equipment.
• Demonstrates leadership by fostering collaborative partnerships, effective communication, coaching and mentoring.
• Supervises, plans and monitors educational programs and evidence-based practice with Education Department.
• Supports Magnet Program Director and coordination of shared governance and data collection.
• Leads or participates in committees with performance improvement goals aligned to mission and vision.
• Reviews complaints or opportunities for improvement with timely follow-up with appropriate departments.
• Performs other duties as assigned and adheres to organizational competencies and standards.
