Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. The ANM is a professional, registered nurse who leads, communicates, and collaborates to support nursing strategy, staffing, throughput, and patient care.

In collaboration with the Nurse Manager, the ANM plans, implements, and monitors nursing practice, improves outcomes, and ensures staff competency and delivery of high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license required.
• AHA BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS required.
• At least 3 years of nursing experience; prior supervisor experience preferred.
• National Certification acceptable to Magnet Recognition Program; obtain within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing and throughput to support safe, quality care.
• Provide operational and administrative support to Nurse leadership.
• Oversee staff competency, hiring, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Nurse Manager to implement nursing strategic plans.
• Model professionalism and support front-line staff.
