Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) at Jersey Shore University Medical Center to lead nursing teams and ensure high-quality patient care. The ANM will coordinate staffing, monitor throughput, safety, and staff development in collaboration with the Nurse Manager. Applicants must hold a current NJ Nursing license, BSN, and ACLS; MSN preferred.

AHA BLS/CPR certification required. Minimum 3 years of nursing experience and prior supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license.
BSN required; MSN preferred.
American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification is required.
ACLS required.
National Certification acceptable to Magnet Recognition Program and appropriate to current specialty; highly preferred. Will be required to obtain national certification within two years of hire.
Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
Prior assistant manager or supervisor experience highly preferred.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs with strong accountability, teamwork, ongoing education, and focus on patient care.

Responsibilities

Interprets, supports, and communicates policies, standards and procedures.
Acts as a role model for staff in all aspects of nursing.
Assists in identifying cost containment measures by identifying alternative product utilization.
Serves on-call based on unit requirements.
Assumes special projects as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
Adheres to HMH organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
