Job summary

Hartford Hospital, a renowned teaching hospital and Level I trauma center, seeks an experienced nurse to serve as assistant nurse manager for North 12. You will apply evidence-based practices to develop care plans addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, and educational needs of patients and families.

The role involves supervising a work group, scheduling, monitoring quality and productivity, and driving departmental goals in line with Hartford HealthCare's mission.

Qualifications

• Connecticut RN License required.
• BSN from an accredited nursing program required.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association required.
• Arrhythmia Certification required prior to hire date.
• Leadership experience preferred; specialty certification highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based nursing care and develop plan of care to meet patient and family needs.
• Assist Nurse Manager and supervise North 12 unit staff, scheduling and assigning work.
• Monitor quality and productivity; resolve workflow issues and data collection for progress.
• Implement and monitor department goals aligned with Hartford HealthCare strategy.
• Coach and support staff to achieve high-quality, cost-effective care.
