Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) to support nursing leadership, coordinate staffing, and enhance patient care quality. The ANM collaborates with the Nurse Manager, oversees front-line staff, and participates in unit throughput, safety initiatives and performance improvement.

The role requires at least an associate degree in nursing, BSN in progress, and a minimum of 3 years of RN experience; NJ RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum associate degree or nursing diploma.
• BSN in progress within 3 years of hire (if applicable).
• At least 3 years RN experience in relevant specialty.
• Strong teamwork, accountability and patient-focused care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing, throughput, and unit efficiency.
• Support quality and safety outcomes and staff competency.
• Assist with hiring, clinical and staff corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Nurse Manager to plan and evaluate care delivery.
• Provide supervision to front-line nursing staff.
