Job summary

Ardent Mills is seeking an Assistant Head Miller in Commerce City to oversee daily milling operations, maintenance, wheat cleaning, and process optimization. You will lead a team to improve safety, quality, and efficiency while aligning with Ardent Mills values.

The role requires strong leadership, CAD drawing capability, CMMS familiarity, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a 24/7 production environment. Willingness to travel and relocate for promotional opportunities is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Milling or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5-6 years milling leadership experience with drive and accountability.
• Demonstrated ability to apply milling principles to improve safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Identify operational discrepancies and provide corrective action plans with timelines.
• Collaborate with milling team to improve production, safety, and cost efficiency.
• Ensure mills are properly and efficiently maintained.
• Develop technical excellence in equipment design, process knowledge, and milling flow.
• Coordinate with Technical Milling for workforce training and mentorship.
• Support plant departments and engineering on new projects and problem solving.
• Lead capital project execution with engineering and plant teams.
• Use KPI metrics to benchmark and drive continuous improvement.
