Job summary

Ardent Mills seeks a Maintenance Planner & Coordinator to plan and coordinate routine and corrective maintenance, ensuring safe, reliable plant operations. You will develop work plans, track labor hours, manage parts and inventory in the CMMS, and drive continuous improvement through collaboration with technicians and operations.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of maintenance experience or a strong trades background, knowledge of maintenance processes and CMMS, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2-5 years or High School diploma/GED with 6-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance process, activities, and maintenance management system.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable Predictive and Preventative Maintenance technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance safety practices.
  • Ability to interpret manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

  • Review MRO reports to identify part needs, order parts, trends, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop work plans including labor, materials, tools, and safety requirements.
  • Update work order lifecycle and maintain open, late and old work orders to a defined amount.
  • Add forecasted labor hours and verify job scope through walkdowns with technicians.
  • Kit parts, consume kitted parts, and maintain inventory accuracy in the CMMS.
  • Receive parts, verify shipments, and turn in packing slips for documentation.
  • Use OEM manuals and technical drawings to identify correct parts and procedures.
  • Incorporate safety plans and hazards into all job planning.
  • Build and maintain vendor and contractor relationships.
  • Conduct weekly planning meetings with maintenance and operations.
  • Track planning metrics and support reliability improvements through root cause analysis.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and sanitation standards.

MAINTENANCE PLANNER & COORDINATOR

The Maintenance Planning Coordinator is responsible for planning and coordinating routine and corrective maintenance to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. The role focuses on accurate work planning, parts readiness, CMMS accuracy, and strong collaboration with technicians, vendors, and operations. Deliver results in first-time situations by inspiring others and working to earn trust every day. Serve others with understanding, respect, and care. Your responsibilities:

Essential skills and experience:

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions (With or without reasonable accommodation):
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as is required by the operating areas (i.e. safety glasses, protective footwear, hearing protection and, at times, a respirator).
  • Ability to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work a machine paced continuous process that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with conditions which include heat/cold temperatures (inclement weather), indoor/outdoor environment, dusty environment, noisy environment, frequent moving/vibration or other motion of equipment/processes, elevated places, to include stairs/ladders.
  • Ability to perform work at a computer and other administrative/managerial tasks.
Other Considerations:
  • Willing to work weekends, holidays, 7-day weeks, and opposing shifts, when needed.

  • Must be authorized to work in the Unites states without sponsorship now and in the future.
  • Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.

Additional Information:

Competitive Compensation: We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experiences. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $74,600.00 - $93,200.00, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved. While the specific bonus plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions, the targeted bonus plan and targeted percentage amount for this role is Bonus - OIP, 5% Annual.
