Job summary

Beacon Credit Union in Indiana is seeking a dedicated Member Center role to serve members with fast, courteous, and accurate financial service, explain products, set up new accounts, and handle teller transactions. You will support the Member Center Manager, cover other locations when needed, and participate in the management training program.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of similar or related experience required.
• A two-year college degree in a related field.
• Four-year degree preferred.
• Excellent cash handling and member service skills.
• Ability to communicate (both oral and written) and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and good judgment.
• Ability to foster relationships with other entities.

Responsibilities

• Offers leadership support to the Member Center Manager. Fills in for Member Center Manager when absent and covers other member center locations as needed.
• Opens, closes and maintains consumer and business checking and savings accounts, CD's, IRA's, and HSA's. Performs Chexsystems screening, deceased processing, stop payments, and card disputes.
• Receives and processes deposits by cash or check, disburses share withdrawals, processes loan payments and contributions, and handles Visa payments and cash advances.
• Identifies cross-sell opportunities and cross-sells products and services to members.
• Ensures accurate recording in Core system and IRAdirect. Scans and saves documentation.
• Assists members in accessing services such as Beacon Online Banking and Bill Pay, Direct Deposit, e-statements, and more.
• Responds to member inquiries and resolves issues within authority; refers others when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
