Job summary

ProSource Group in Manhattan is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support mechanical projects across planning, coordination, construction and closeout. The role covers commercial fit-outs, infrastructure upgrades, life science, hospitality and redevelopment work in NYC.

You will assist with day-to-day management, schedules, procurement and documentation, with progression to Project Manager as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in HVAC, mechanical construction or MEP.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and installations.
• Experience reading mechanical drawings, specifications and equipment schedules.
• Exposure to project coordination, procurement, cost tracking or construction administration.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day management of mechanical construction projects.
• Monitor schedules, costs, procurement and overall progress.
• Review drawings, specifications, equipment schedules and project documents.
• Coordinate HVAC equipment, piping, ductwork and controls.
• Handle RFIs, submittals, shop drawings and project documentation.

Role Overview
We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join an established HVAC and MEP contractor based in Manhattan.
The role will involve supporting mechanical projects across both the technical and commercial side, from early-stage planning and coordination through construction and closeout.
Projects include commercial fit-outs, infrastructure upgrades, life science, hospitality and major redevelopment work across Manhattan and the wider NYC market.
This would suit someone with 3+ years’ experience in mechanical construction looking to build on their experience and move towards Project Manager level.

Your main duties will include:

• Supporting the day-to-day management of mechanical construction projects.

• Reviewing mechanical drawings, specifications, equipment schedules and project documents.
• Coordinating HVAC equipment, piping, ductwork and controls.
• Handling RFIs, submittals, shop drawings and project documentation.

To be successful, you will possess:

• 3+ years’ experience within HVAC, mechanical construction or MEP.
• Good technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and mechanical installations.
• Experience reading mechanical drawings, specifications and equipment schedules.
• Previous exposure to project coordination, procurement, cost tracking or construction administration.
