Job description

Monarch Beach Golf Links is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Assistant Mechanic. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service for our guests.

$26.00 - $28.00 per hour DOE

Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Mechanic:

• Overhauls and repairs maintenance vehicles, mowing equipment, and other power equipment.
• Lubricates and services all equipment.
• Inspects equipment for operating deficiencies and makes routine adjustments where necessary.
• Maintains up-to-date understanding of hydraulic systems, repairs, and their components.
• Inspects, changes, and repairs tires.
• Assists in controlling tool access and use by maintenance staff.
• Cleans working areas after repair work is completed.
• Assists in fabricating, body repair, and painting.
• Adjusts cutting units on mowing equipment.
• When servicing of equipment is complete, will assist on the maintenance crew and may operate mowing equipment.
• Assists in training the maintenance staff in the proper care and upkeep of golf course equipment.
• May be called upon to operate or train to operate various types of maintenance equipment.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications for the Assistant Mechanic:

• Certificate from college or technical school.
• Must have 2+ years of experience with small engine repairs and maintenance.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Other Qualifications:

• Must be a quick learner and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
