Job summary

FiveStar is seeking an Assistant Manager in Los Angeles to partner with the General Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including accounting, marketing, customer service, and human resources. You will guide a store team to meet company policies while delivering strong customer experiences and maintaining strong inventory control.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership in daily operations, training, merchandising, and food service oversight, with responsibilities shared across staff

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of retail management experience or equivalent education.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18.
• Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
• Team player, customer focused, honest, hardworking, and excellent attendance.
• Basic Computer Skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing store operations and a P&L with GM guidance.
• Partner with the team to provide customers with service per policy.
• Assist in timely and thorough training of store team.
• Educate store team on policies and communications.
• Assist GM in addressing store issues to ensure long-term solutions.
• Merchandising and ensuring adequate inventory levels (pricing, promotions, signage, stock).
• Promote FiveStar treatment (friendly atmosphere, meeting customer needs, suggestive selling).
• Assist in inventory control, equipment upkeep, staffing, labor budget, and safety procedures.
• Oversee food operation look, quality, tracking, promotions, signage, and food service guidelines.
• Responsible for store operations when GM is absent.
• Learn and understand P&L statements.
