Job summary

GPM Investments is seeking an energetic Assistant Manager for Store 6078 in Morristown, TN. The role supports the Store Manager with daily operations, customer service, and team leadership in a fast-paced convenience store environment.

You will run registers, train staff, manage inventory and scheduling, and help drive sales through upselling promotions. This full-time position requires open weekend/holiday availability and a 21+ age minimum.

Qualifications

• Open availability to work weekends and holidays, likely second or third shifts (full-time).
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle with proof of insurance.
• Must be 21+ years old and able to perform physical duties.
• Proficient English communication with basic math skills.
• Tennessee Topshelf Manager Training is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Run the register with speed and accuracy.
• Coach and motivate team to upsell products and promotions.
• Assist with hiring, training, and leading a high-performing team.
• Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep stock full.
• Maintain a clean store, including restrooms, trash areas, and pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules to ensure coverage.
• Perform daily cash handling, deposits, and oversee store finances.
• Provide leadership and feedback to drive team excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Willing to Learn: Especially in Tennessee, where Topshelf Manager Training is required.
• Certification: Must have (or be able to obtain obtain) a Food Safety Certification
