GPM Investments’ Roadrunner Markets in Johnson City, TN seeks an Assistant Manager to keep our high-energy store running smoothly across shifts. You’ll support the Store Manager, supervise a team, handle the register, and ensure top customer service while maintaining inventory and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Open availability for weekends, holidays and second/third shifts.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, access to a personal vehicle, and proof of insurance.
• Able to perform cleaning, trash removal, and pump area maintenance.
• Minimum age 21 years old.
• English communication and basic math skills; Topshelf Manager Training in TN is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Run the register and assist customers with speed and accuracy.
• Coach and motivate team to upsell products and promotions.
• Help hire, train, and lead a high-performing team.
• Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and merchandising.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming store, including restrooms and pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules for full coverage.
• Perform daily cash handling and deposits; oversee store financials.
• Provide feedback and leadership to inspire the team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Open Availability: You must be available to work weekends, holidays, and likely second or third shifts.

• Reliable Transportation: You must have a valid driver's license, access to a personal vehicle, and proof of insurance to complete bank deposits.

• Physical Readiness: Comfortable with tasks such as cleaning restrooms, taking out trash, and maintaining outside areas like pumps.

• Minimum Age Requirement: 21+ years old

• Communication Skills: Proficient in English with basic math skills.

• Willing to Learn: Especially in Tennessee, where Topshelf Manager Training is required.

• Certification: Must have (or be able to obtain obtain) a Food Safety Certification
