Job summary

PSIA-AASI Western Region in Breckenridge, CO, is seeking a Ski & Snowboard School Assistant Manager for the 2026/2027 winter season. You will lead priorities, supervise programs and staffing, uphold PSIA/AASI standards, and collaborate with department leaders to ensure high-quality teaching and guest service.

Starting pay range is $58,461.98–$68,368.69 with full-time hours and housing availability. Must be 18+, PSIA/AASI Level 1, and able to work in alpine conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year working in a Ski & Snowboard School.
• Current PSIA/AASI Level 1 certification.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Fluent in all aspects of the English language.
• Advanced to expert level skiing/snowboarding skills.
• Must be able to work in a high alpine environment.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Must work well in a team.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, weekdays, evenings, and holidays.
• Background checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize resources to maintain teaching quality of our Pros.
• Manage staffing levels to daily guest reservations and labor margins.
• Uphold and promote PSIA/AASI standards.
• Deliver employee performance through feedback sessions and evaluations.
• Support Guest Experience targets with senior and location managers.
• Resolve guest complaints using service guidelines and accommodate requests.
• Lead safety standards within the department.
• Ensure Pros adhere to company policies and schedules.
• Data entry and admin tasks including timecard entry and scheduling.
• Communicate with leadership and departments to foster support and trust.
• Engage in Leadership Development programs and ongoing training.
• Align with the Company mission, vision, and values.

The Ski and Snowboard School Assistant Manager is responsible for creating a welcoming impression by leading the resort priorities and modeling our company’s values. This is achieved through the focus on quality control, guest and employee relations, staff performance and development, financial responsibility, communication, teamwork and administrative duties. You will supervise operations of programs, indoor and outdoor facilities/ teaching areas and will oversee daily staffing and lesson assignments. You will work with the Sr. Director, Senior Manager(s), Location Managers and Administrative Assistants as well as all other resort departments to ensure efficient management of the department and that all stakeholder needs are consistently met.

Job Responsibilities

• Utilize available resources to monitor and maintain the quality of the teaching standards of our Pros.
• Manage staffing levels to daily guest reservations and labor margins.

• Manage and deliver employee performance through feedback sessions, mid-season and end of season evaluations.
• Work with the Senior Managers and Location Managers to support and achieve Guest Experience targets for the success of the overall Ski & Snowboard School.
• Resolve guest complaints by utilizing guest service guidelines and accommodate special requests when appropriate.
• Understand, lead and model safety standards within the department.
• Ensure Pros are knowledgeable and adhere to company policies and procedures, and work schedules expectations.
• Data entry and administrative tasks including daily instructor timecard entry and accurate Pro scheduling.
• Communicate effectively with leadership, peers and other departments to create an environment of support and trust that will benefit staff and guests.
• Actively engage and participate in Company sponsored Leadership Development programs and opportunities, as well as continued education in-house on- and off-snow training.
• Understand, lead and model the Company’s mission, vision and values.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• RPOS experience
• College degree/ experience in a relevant field

The expected pay range is $ 58,461.98 – $ 68,368.69. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
