Job summary

Afton Alps is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Ski and Snowboard School to create a welcoming impression by leading resort priorities and modeling our values. This role supports daily operations by guiding frontline leads and instructors, coordinating lesson delivery, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

You will assist with staffing, training, scheduling, and operational execution while promoting safety, teamwork, and service excellence.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience in snowsports, hospitality, recreation, or related field.
• Experience leading teams and supporting daily operations.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods.
• PSIA-AASI certification and resort operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop frontline leads, instructors, and support staff.
• Support daily lesson operations, staffing, and service delivery.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and employee development.
• Resolve guest concerns and drive guest satisfaction.
• Assist with payroll administration, labor management, and operational reporting.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, policies, and procedures.
• Partner with other resort departments to support seamless guest experiences.
