Job summary

PSIA-AASI Western Region is seeking winter seasonal ski & snowboard instructors for 2026/2027 in the U.S. Pacific Northwest. Starting wage is $27.00–$32.14 per hour with full-time hours available during peak season.

Responsibilities include maintaining teaching standards, staffing in line with reservations, and delivering exceptional guest service. Candidates should hold at least a high school diploma, have one year in a ski school, and preferably PSIA/AASI Level 1 certification.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year working in a Ski & Snowboard School.
  • PSIA/AASI Level 1 certification – preferred.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Fluent in all aspects of the English language.
  • Advanced to expert skiing/snowboarding skills.
  • Must be able to work in a high alpine environment.
  • Must have excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Must work well in a team.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, weekdays & holidays.
  • Offers may be contingent upon a post offer background check and reference checks.
  • Pay range noted: $27.00–$32.14.

  • Manage staffing to daily guest reservations and labor margins.
  • Uphold PSIA/AASI standards.
  • Deliver employee performance through feedback sessions and evaluations.
  • Support Guest Experience targets with senior/location managers.
  • Resolve guest complaints by following guest service guidelines.
  • Model safety standards within the department.
  • Ensure Pros adhere to company policies and schedules.
  • Data entry for daily instructor timecards and scheduling.
  • Communicate with leadership and other departments to foster teamwork.
  • Participate in Leadership Development programs and ongoing training.
  • Uphold the company’s mission, vision and values.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities
  • Utilize available resources to monitor and maintain the quality of the teaching standards of our Pros.
  • Manage staffing levels to daily guest reservations and labor margins.
  • Uphold and promote PSIA/AASI standards.
  • Manage and deliver employee performance through feedback sessions, mid-season and end of season evaluations.
  • Work with the Senior Managers and Location Managers to support and achieve Guest Experience targets for the success of the overall Ski & Snowboard School.
  • Resolve guest complaints by utilizing guest service guidelines and accommodate special requests when appropriate.
  • Understand, lead and model safety standards within the department.
  • Ensure Pros are knowledgeable and adhere to company policies and procedures, and work schedules expectations.
  • Data entry and administrative tasks including daily instructor timecard entry and accurate Pro scheduling.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership, peers and other departments to create an environment of support and trust that will benefit staff and guests.
  • Actively engage and participate in Company sponsored Leadership Development programs and opportunities, as well as continued education in-house on- and off-snow training.
  • Understand, lead and model the Company’s mission, vision and values.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
