Job summary

Stevens Pass Mountain Resort is seeking a Ski & Snowboard School Assistant Manager for the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027 period. The role focuses on delivering high-quality guest and employee experiences, overseeing program delivery, and maintaining teaching standards.

The position requires a high school diploma, 1 year in a Ski & Snowboard School, and strong English communication. Preferred PSIA/AASI Level 1 certification; proficiency in Microsoft Office and exceptional guest service are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year working in a Ski & Snowboard School.
  • PSIA/AASI Level 1 certification – preferred.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Advanced to expert level skiing/snowboarding skills.
  • Must work well in a team.
  • Flexible schedule incl weekends/nights/holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee teaching standards and program delivery.
  • Manage staffing for daily guest reservations and labor margins.
  • Uphold PSIA/AASI standards.
  • Deliver employee performance feedback and evaluations.
  • Support Guest Experience targets with leadership.
  • Resolve guest complaints per service guidelines.
  • Lead safety adherence within the department.
  • Ensure pros adhere to company policies and schedules.
  • Data entry of instructor timecards and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support staff and guests.
  • Participate in leadership development programs.

Job Summary:

The Ski & Snowboard School Assistant Manager is responsible for delivering high-quality guest and employee experiences while supporting the overall success of ski and snowboard school operations. This role oversees all or key components of program delivery within their team.

Job Specifications:

Starting Wage:$27.00 – $32.14

Job Responsibilities:

Utilize available resources to monitor and maintain the quality of the teaching standards of our Pros.

Manage staffing levels to daily guest reservations and labor margins.

Uphold and promote PSIA/AASI standards.

Manage and deliver employee performance through feedback sessions, mid-season and end of season evaluations.

Work with the Senior Managers and Location Managers to support and achieve Guest Experience targets for the success of the overall Ski & Snowboard School.

Resolve guest complaints by utilizing guest service guidelines and accommodate special requests when appropriate.

Understand, lead and model safety standards within the department.

Ensure Pros are knowledgeable and adhere to company policies and procedures, and work schedules expectations.

Data entry and administrative tasks including daily instructor timecard entry and accurate Pro scheduling.

Communicate effectively with leadership, peers and other departments to create an environment of support and trust that will benefit staff and guests.

Actively engage and participate in Company sponsored Leadership Development programs and opportunities, as well as continued education in-house on- and off-snow training.

Understand, lead and model the Company’s mission, vision and values.

Any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of one year working in a Ski & Snowboard School

Current PSIA/AASI Level 1 certification – preferred

Microsoft Office proficiency

Fluent in all aspects of the English language

Advanced to expert level skiing/ snowboarding skills

Must be able to work in a high alpine environment

Must have excellent guest service and communication skills

Must work well in a team

Must be able to work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, weekdays, & holidays

The expected pay range is$27.00 – $32.14. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
