Vail Resorts is hiring Ski School Assistant Managers to supervise operations, develop staff, and elevate guest experiences in our mountain environment. You will lead instruction teams, support scheduling, and coordinate with departments to ensure exceptional service.

The role requires PSIA/AASI certification, a high school diploma or GED, and 3+ years of teaching experience. Seasonal winter employment offers competitive hourly wages and opportunities for growth and training.

• Current PSIA/AASI or equivalent certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years Ski/Snowboard Instructor experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee daily instruction at Ski and Ride School including curriculum development, scheduling, and class support with feedback as needed.
• Assist with administrative duties including hiring, scheduling, training, payroll, inventory management, and reporting guest feedback.
• Monitor instructor performance and provide feedback, including recognition, correction actions, or escalation as necessary.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and company policies; adhere to safety programs and incident reporting.
• Coordinate with management, departments, and third-party organizations as needed.
• Participate in leadership forums providing feedback on school operations and improvement opportunities.
• Lead by example with professionalism, punctuality, appearance, and team collaboration.
• Take ownership for assigned areas and follow through on commitments; perform other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

Starting Wage: $27.00 /hr- $32.14/hr

Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027

Shift Type: Full Time hours available

Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee daily instruction at Ski and Ride School including curriculum development, scheduling, and assigning classes providing support & feedback with instruction as needed
• Assist with administrative duties including hiring, scheduling, training, payroll, managing equipment inventory and reporting on guest feedback
• Monitor and document instructor performance and behavior to provide meaningful feedback and direction, including recognition, correction action, or escalation if necessary
• Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
• Adhere to all safety related programs including policy training and incident reporting
• Coordinate with other management, departments, and third-party organizations as needed
• Participate in leadership forums providing feedback and input on school operations, training, and continuous improvement opportunities
• Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, punctuality, appropriate appearance, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
• Take ownership and accountability for assigned areas of responsibility and follow through on commitments
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
• Current PSIA/AASI or equivalent certification required

Minimum Of 3 Years Ski/snowboard Instructor Experience

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends
• Able to meet the physical demands of ski and ride training and drills
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English

The expected pay range is $27.00 /hr- $32.14/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
