Job summary

Vail Resorts seeks a Ski School Supervisor to lead daily operations of our Ski & Ride School, overseeing instruction, curriculum and staff development. You’ll manage scheduling, training, payroll and equipment inventory while ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

Requires PSIA/AASI certification, 1–3 years of instruction and at least 1 year in a supervisory role, with a flexible schedule including nights and holidays. Excellent communication in English is essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Current PSIA/AASI certification required.
  • 1–3 years ski/snowboard instructor experience and 1 year supervisory experience required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily instruction at Ski and Ride School including curriculum development, scheduling, and class assignment.
  • Assist with administrative duties including hiring, scheduling, training, payroll, equipment inventory and guest feedback reporting.
  • Monitor instructor performance and provide feedback, recognition, or escalation as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable laws and company policies; ensure safety programs and incident reporting.

Job Specifications
  • Starting Wage: $23.00/hr - $53.50/hr
  • Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily instruction at Ski and Ride School including curriculum development, scheduling, and assigning classes providing support with instruction as needed
  • Assist with administrative duties including hiring, scheduling, training, payroll, managing equipment inventory and reporting on guest feedback
  • Monitor and document instructor performance and behavior to provide meaningful feedback and direction, including recognition, correction action, or escalation if necessary
  • Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Adhere to all safety related programs including policy training and incident reporting
  • Coordinate with other management, departments, and third-party organizations as neede
  • Participate in leadership forums providing feedback and input on school operations, training, and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements

  • Current PSIA/AASI or equivalent certification required

The expected pay range is $23.00/hr - $53.50/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
