Job summary

Highland Springs by Erickson Senior Living is seeking an Assistant Manager of Security and Emergency Services to oversee the Cedar Crest Village security and emergency programs in a gated retirement community in New Jersey.

You will support the SES Manager, manage access control, incidents, and safety initiatives while ensuring compliance with company standards and state regulations. This role offers growth opportunities and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an SES Management role.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an Emergency Responder role.
• Current valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Assist the SES Manager in program/procedural compliance, quality assurance/quality improvement, investigations, training, administrative support, and serve as the primary backup to the Security ES Manager in their absence
• Responsible for the security of the community through gatehouse, patrols, access control, visitor/contractor registration, key management, and other programs
• Oversee safety programs to include Security Department safety inspections, responses to workplace accidents, hazard communication programs, respiratory mask fit testing programs, and others as needed
• Partner with their manager to establish and maintain an operating budget
• Oversee the proper documentation of incidents through the Incident Reporting System
• Manage the Emergency Call System and Notification Alert System
• Provide leadership and a positive example to the team, ensuring that all employees of the department are held accountable for working within the Erickson Way
