Job summary

Erickson Senior Living's Cedar Crest Village in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, is seeking an Assistant Manager of Security and Emergency Services to oversee the security and emergency programs for our gated retirement community.

In this role you will support the SES Manager, supervise access control and incident reporting, lead safety initiatives, help manage the operating budget, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents and teammates while upholding Erickson Way.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of SES Management experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an Emergency Responder role.
• Current valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assist the SES Manager in program/procedural compliance, quality assurance/improvement, investigations, and training.
• Oversee security of the community through gatehouse, patrols, access control, registration, key management, and related programs.
• Lead safety initiatives including department safety inspections, workplace accident responses, hazard communication, and respirator fit testing.
• Partner with management to establish and maintain an operating budget.
• Ensure proper incident documentation using the Incident Reporting System.
• Manage the Emergency Call System and Notification Alert System.
• Provide leadership and set a positive example in line with Erickson Way.
