Job summary

Vail Resorts in Mount Crested Butte is hiring for winter seasonal roles including cooks, drivers, instructors, and more. The team delivers exceptional guest service in a mountain environment, with paid training and opportunities to grow within a global resort company.

Starting wage ranges from $25.00 to $28.60 per hour, with full-time hours available during the winter season. Housing is not provided, and a strong emphasis is placed on safety, guest satisfaction, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent; Business area training or education preferred
• 1-3 years of retail management experience; ski industry preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, multitask and manage multiple customers
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations, monitoring performance and budget including scheduling and payroll; act as manager-on-duty in the absence of a Store Manager
• Maintain daily store records for performance, sales metrics, inventory control and equipment rentals (if applicable)
• Hire and train employees in POS system operation, product knowledge, guest service, sales techniques and lossprevention policies and procedures
• Monitor team performance and behavior to provide meaningful feedback and direction, providing recognition orcorrection action if necessary
• Maintain up to date product knowledge and provide excellent customer service through timely response tocustomer questions, suggestions, complaints, and recognition
• Participate with leadership forums providing feedback and input on store performance, training, and continuousimprovement opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned, including specialty areas like merchandising and rentals

The expected pay range is$25.00 - $28.60 /hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
