GPM Investments, LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Kalamazoo, MI area convenience store. You will support the Store Manager in daily operations, run the register, and coach a team to deliver outstanding customer service and sales performance.

Applicants should have open availability for weekends and holidays, be comfortable with second or third shifts, and hold a Food Safety Certification. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required to complete deposits and store

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or store environment is preferred.
• Ability to coach and lead a team toward customer service excellence.
• Proven ability to work on multiple tasks with accuracy and speed.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Run the register and assist customers quickly and accurately.
• Coach and motivate team to upsell products and promotions.
• Assist with hiring, training, and leading a high-performing team.
• Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep stock levels.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming store and equipment.
• Create and manage team schedules for full coverage.
• Perform daily cash handling and deposits.
• Provide leadership that motivates the team to excel.
