Job summary

PHOENIX Retail, LLC, operating Express and Bonobos, seeks an Assistant Manager for the St. Louis Premium store.

The role supports the Store Manager in supervising store operations, recruiting, training, and sales activities to deliver a standout in-store experience for customers. Responsibilities include talent development, coaching Sales Associates, optimizing store performance, and maintaining merchandise flow while ensuring policy compliance and safety.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or Equivalent
• Years of Experience: 1-3 of relevant job experience
• Proficient in use of technology (iPad, registers)
• Demonstrates strong customer service skills
• Meets defined availability criteria, including nights, weekends and non-business hours
• Meets physical requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, inspiring, and retaining top talent.
• Maintain a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and a 'one team' mentality.
• Coach, teach and train Sales Associates for effective job performance.
• Identify high performing Sales Associates to assist in growth.
• Participate in interviewing and give feedback to the Store Manager.
• Assist in analyzing the business and communicating action plans to optimize results.
• Oversee all aspects of daily store operations.
• Execute action plans to optimize results.
• Ensure sales floor coverage to meet customer expectations.
• Oversee merchandise flow including shipments and replenishment.
• Maintain adherence to Company Policies and safety.
• Lead store strategy execution to meet performance goals.
• Drive merchandising, loyalty programs and initiatives.
• Create a positive in-store experience through customer engagement.
• Greet and assist customers, share product/promotions/loyalty information.
• Resolve customer complaints and identify root causes.
• Act as customer experience leader with improvement plans.
• Maintain visual store standards.
• Other essential functions as directed by supervisor
