Rhodes Convenience Stores in Poplar Bluff, MO is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead, coach and develop a high-performing team while delivering outstanding guest service. You will work with the general manager to meet sales targets, manage operations, inventory, and staff performance in a fast-paced retail environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of retail or restaurant experience, and completed food safety training.

Qualifications

Must have high school diploma or GED.
1 year retail or restaurant experience preferred.
Complete training program and be food safety certified.

Responsibilities

1) Knowledge and use of Mission Statement and Core Values.
2) Deliver outstanding guest service in a welcoming environment; greet and acknowledge every guest; maintain standards and product knowledge.
3) Assist GM with achieving budgeted sales and gross profit.
4) Help control shrink, expenses, and payroll.
5) Ensure stock levels, adjacencies, presentation, and signage; maintain shelf assortment.
6) Review store trends and recommend changes to meet goals.
7) Ensure policies/procedures compliance and accurate cashier/payroll paperwork.
8) Evaluate performance and assist in recruiting employees.
9) Train and develop customer service staff; monitor development.
10) Maintain store cleanliness and standards.
11) Perform additional duties as assigned.
