White House Black Market in Reston, VA is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading the team and delivering a seamless, personalized shopping experience. You will build community connections, coach associates, and ensure store standards are upheld.

You’ll drive sales, manage inventory, and foster a welcoming environment that reflects our hospitality-focused culture while coaching staff and maintaining policy compliance.

Qualifications

• 3 years of retail management experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Flexible availability — nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to develop strong customer and peer relationships.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products, operate the register, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in leading the team and building community connections to create a seamless customer experience.
• Take ownership to achieve the store's financial goals and motivate the team.
• Assist in hiring, development, and coaching of associates.
• Lead by example on the sales floor, sharing product knowledge and utilizing an omni-channel approach.
• Maintain a visually inspiring store environment reflecting brand standards.
• Manage inventory, daily replenishment, and inventories; ensure policies and procedures are followed.
