Job summary

Burger King in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead daily operations, drive profitability, and ensure guest satisfaction. You’ll support the Restaurant General Manager and directly supervise 20–45 team members, coaching Shift Coordinators to deliver fast, friendly service in a clean facility.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required, 2 years of college preferred
• 1-2 years of previous quick service restaurant experience, experience in management preferred
• Some understanding of P&L interpretation and management to influence profitability
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Demonstrated understanding of guest service principles
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work long and/or irregular shifts as needed, for proper functioning of the restaurant

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory costs and inspections
• Place and receive inventory truck orders
• Maintain and monitor restaurant assets
• Ensure preventative maintenance of restaurant facility and equipment with vendors
• Ensure cash control procedures are followed
• Motivate and direct team to exceed guest expectations with fast, friendly service
• Coach and develop Shifts Coordinators and Team Members
• Direct operations for efficient food preparation and prompt delivery
• Uphold brand standards
• Perform duties of Hourly Shift Coordinator when necessary
