Job summary

The Family Place seeks an Assistant Manager to lead the Resale Shop operations in Dallas, driving revenue through effective merchandise management and superior customer service. You will coordinate displays, pricing strategy, and POS operations while training staff and volunteers and developing donor relationships to support survivors.

Qualifications

• Retail leadership or store management experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience coordinating volunteers or staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sales and donation efforts; review performance metrics.
• Create attractive, organized sales floor displays to drive sales.
• Ensure secure, clean, and convenient sales floor layout with merchandise rotation.
• Evaluate market trends and pricing to maximize revenue.
• Monitor daily workflow and team performance; provide support.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when supervisor is absent.
• Oversee POS staffing and ensure efficient checkout operations.
• Track operational data and prepare reports.
• Assist with interviewing and training volunteers.
• Coordinate donor relations and report on donated items.
• Handle client questions and ensure trauma-informed service for survivors.
