Job summary

Border Foods LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager in Saint Peter, MN to lead daily restaurant operations and develop a high-performing team. You will supervise shifts, ensure quality food and friendly service, and drive sales while controlling costs.

The role emphasizes coaching, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with safety and company policies. The position requires leadership experience in a busy restaurant, ServeSafe certification, and the ability to work varied hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year restaurant or retail experience.
• Experience with sales, P&L statements, recruiting, and training.
• Proven track record of successful hiring and retention.
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, late nights, weekends and some holidays.
• This non-exempt management position is expected to work a minimum of 50 hours per week.
• ServeSafe Certified.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid Driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of the entire restaurant and build a strong team that delivers great food and a friendly experience.
• Lead and train Team Members and Shift Leaders to meet standards and expectations.
• Ensure a safe, welcoming, and compliant workplace and guest experience.
• Monitor labor, inventory, and cash handling; drive profit via effective operations.
