Huck's Food and Fuel in Lexington, KY, seeks a Market Assistant Manager to oversee shift operations, guest service, and store performance. You will support the Store Manager, fill shifts, and handle day-to-day tasks to boost profitability and maintain standards.

Responsibilities include cash handling, daily paperwork, deposits, and ensuring compliance with policies. Promotion to Store Manager upon training and openings may be available.

Responsibilities

• Gives all customers prompt and courteous service, which includes greetings to customers.
• Observes shift operating hours and helps fill shifts.
• Work the store manager's days off and at least two evening shifts per week.
• Performs tasks assigned by the Store Manager.
• Communicates with store associates and management.
• Follows all laws and ordinances pertaining to store operation.
• Provides a conduct model for other associates in the store.
• Ensures Store Manager is aware of sales, cash, or operating discrepancies.
• Ensures associates wear proper uniform and deliver prompt, courteous service.
• Completes a shift change report at the start and end of shift.
• Records hours worked by clocking in/out on the computer.
• Rings all sales and records over rings and refunds.
• Completes daily paperwork and makes store deposits as directed by the Store Manager.
• Treats all associates with dignity and respect and informs Store Manager of personnel issues.
• Ensures a safe shopping and working environment.
• Ensures cash and merchandise are handled securely per policy.
• Ensures vendor check-in procedures are followed.
• Keeps coolers and displays stocked and fronted at all times.
• Maintains equipment and readies high-margin products as directed.
• Uses correct pricing as listed in policy books.
• Maintains store appearance and cleanliness; floors, windows, restrooms, and parking lot.
• Reports maintenance problems to the Store Manager when immediate correction isn't possible.
• Ensures food service areas are kept clean and sanitation procedures are followed.
• Actively promote Huck's Bucks Loyalty app and assist customers with sign-up and usage.
