Bergdorf Goodman, a New York luxury retailer, seeks an Assistant Manager, Operations to lead daily store operations, develop the team, and uphold our service values of excellence, imagination and graciousness.

You will manage workflows, oversee staffing, partner with managers, and drive a culture of exceptional client service while delivering accurate inventory and financial controls.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in retail operations, inventory management, or store leadership.
• Leadership experience coaching and inspiring a team.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Communicate daily operational goals with the team to ensure agreement and execution of priorities.
• Manage workflows to support daily store operations and special projects.
• Lead the financial inventory process within assigned areas, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
• Develop support associates to enhance skills, performance, and career progression.
• Foster a collaborative, customer-centric culture that prioritizes service excellence across the team.
• Partner with Support and Selling Managers through regular meetings to strengthen collaboration and implement operational strategies.
• Ensure staffing and daily coverage across all areas to maintain high operational standards.
• Oversee either a high-volume brand or a mid-level sales volume floor, managing all related operational and team performance metrics.

WHAT YOU WILL BR ING:

• 3+ years of experience with retail operations, inventory management, or store leadership.
• Leadership experience - coaching and inspiring a team.
• Certain roles may require standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds
• Associates must be willing to work based on business need, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays
