Job summary

Sonic Drive-In Assistant Manager in Matlock, IA, assists the General Manager in running a fast-paced drive-in, training and supporting team members to ensure quality, safe, and efficient service while upholding Sonic standards.

You will help manage operations, schedule staff, monitor inventory, and maintain cleanliness and guest experience across shifts. Flexible hours including nights and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry-level retail management experience.
• Effective communication skills; basic math, reading, and computer skills.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to follow appearance, uniform, and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors, and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops, and Skating Carhops
• Directs and assigns employees to meet operations standards
• Adheres to employee handbook, policies, and practices
• Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties
• Monitors staffing, inventory, and food cost control; completes weekly inventory
• Assists in admin duties including filing, records, and documentation
• Reinforces customer service mindset and guest satisfaction
• Responds to guest requests and helps resolve complaints
