Job summary

White House Black Market in Indianapolis seeks an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading the team and delivering a seamless, personalized customer experience that reflects our culture of hospitality. You will hire, develop, and coach associates, lead by example on the sales floor, drive store goals, and maintain a visually inspiring environment aligned with brand standards.

• At least 18 years old.
• 3 years of retail management experience preferred.
• Flexible availability—nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Team player with ownership and initiative.
• Strong customer and peer relationship skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Able to bend, reach, stretch, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a team to deliver a customer-centered experience.
• Take ownership to achieve the financial goals of the store and motivate the team.
• Assist in the hiring, development, and coaching of associates.
• Lead by example on the sales floor, sharing product knowledge and utilizing an omni-channel approach.
• Maintain a visually inspiring store environment that reflects brand standards.
• Take ownership to ensure safe and efficient store operations including inventory management, daily replenishment of floor merchandise, and execution of inventories.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, guidelines, and business practices.
• Build community connections through in-store company-sponsored events, philanthropy, and other initiatives.
