Job summary

GDLP Restaurants is seeking an Assistant Manager to partner with the General Manager in leading daily restaurant operations. You will coach Shift Leaders, develop team members, and ensure an exceptional guest experience while maintaining high standards of food safety and operational excellence.

You will help hire, onboard, schedule, and manage team development, drive profitability through strong execution, and step into any role as needed to support restaurant success.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude with a passion for developing others.
• Previous restaurant leadership experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food Handler Certification.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and hold others accountable.
• Reliable attendance.
• Flexible availability.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations alongside the General Manager.
• Coach, develop, and support Shift Leaders and team members.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and resolve guest concerns professionally.
• Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards are consistently met.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed to keep teams and guests safe.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and team development.
• Monitor labor, sales, inventory, and controllable costs.
• Support restaurant profitability through strong operational execution.
• Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time.
• Ensure company policies, procedures, and brand standards are followed.
• Lead by example and create a positive, inclusive team culture.
• Step into any position as needed to support restaurant success.
