Job summary

GDLP Restaurant Group is seeking an Assistant Manager to partner with the General Manager in leading daily restaurant operations, coaching leaders, and delivering an exceptional guest experience. This role focuses on developing team members, maintaining high standards, and preparing future General Manager opportunities.

You will help build a high-performing team, coach Shift Leaders, ensure food safety and cleanliness, and drive profitability through strong execution and proper staffing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food Handler Certification.
• Restaurant leadership experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Reliable attendance and flexible availability.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations alongside the General Manager.
• Coach, develop, and support Shift Leaders and team members.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and resolve guest concerns professionally.
• Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards are consistently met.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and team development.
• Monitor labor, sales, inventory, and controllable costs.
• Support restaurant profitability through strong operational execution.
• Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time.
• Lead by example and create a positive, inclusive team culture.
• Step into any position as needed to support restaurant success.
