Jimmy John’s is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily store operations. You will lead a team of about 20, ensure customer service excellence, manage food safety and quality, and serve as a role model in the GM’s absence.

This role requires 18+ years, reliable transportation, and basic computer skills, with prior restaurant experience preferred. Training paths include local or onsite programs to get certified. Let’s get this bread and grow with the team!

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent communication with customers and staff.
• Strong math ability, including addition, subtraction, fractions and percentages.
• Experience with basic usage of a personal computer.
• High School Graduate or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Reliable transportation.
• Some restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing a staff of approximately 20 employees, including hiring, training, evaluating and discipline.
• Forecast daily usage of food items per shift using basic math.
• Perform daily duties such as slicing meats, prepping veggies and baking bread.
• Implement and audit Jimmy John’s policies, systems and procedures.
• Complete necessary paperwork daily, weekly and periodically.
• Manage cash drawers, bank deposits and change.
• Participate in marketing and promotional activities.
• Oversee and assist in providing great customer service.
