Job summary

Jimmy John's is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily store operations. This role drives sales, maintains exceptional customer service, ensures food safety, and helps develop a positive team environment.

You may serve as a leader in the GM's absence and set a high standard for staff. To qualify, you must be eligible to work in the U.S., meet age requirements, and have leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a fast-paced restaurant setting is preferred.
• Strong math skills (addition, subtraction, fractions, percentages) are required.
• Clear communication with customers and staff is essential.
• Some restaurant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in managing a staff of approximately 20 employees, including hiring, training, evaluating and discipline.
• Forecasts daily usage of food items per shift and supports inventory considerations.
• Performs daily duties such as prep work, bread baking, and slicing meats.
• Implements and audits Jimmy John's policies, systems and procedures.
• Completes required paperwork daily, weekly and periodically.
• Manages cash drawers, deposits and cash handling.
• Participates in marketing and promotional activities.
• Oversees and assists in delivering excellent customer service.
