Job summary

Jimmy John's is seeking an Assistant Manager to run daily restaurant operations in the absence of the General Manager. You will lead a team, ensure fast, accurate sandwiches and top‑quality customer service, and maintain a clean, organized shift.

Responsibilities include training staff, managing inventory and cash, and supporting delivery operations to maximize efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write and communicate in English.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Stamina to work 50-60 hours a week.
• Willing to work overtime, holidays, weekends as business dictates.

Responsibilities

• Manage all functions of the restaurant when General Manager is not on duty.
• Supervise a staff of 3–50 employees, assigning and evaluating work.
• Provide on‑the‑job training for new employees.
• Oversee ordering, storage and issuing of supplies to reduce waste or theft.
• Assist in supervision of food preparation, sales and service.
• Forecast food items and estimate quantities per shift.
• Ensure 100% integrity in cash handling and daily paperwork.
• Route deliveries and support drivers to maximize delivery speed.
