Job summary

Jimmy John's is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee all functions of a Jimmy John's restaurant when the General Manager is not on duty. You will ensure fast, accurate sandwiches, world-class customer service, and a clean, organized shift to drive profitability.

You will train staff, manage labor costs, and assist with opening/closing procedures while maintaining standard operating procedures and integrity across daily activities. This role requires endurance for high-volume operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write and communicate in English.
• Ability to work 50–60 hours per week.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to manage a small team and oversee daily restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of Inshoppers and drivers.
• Manage a staff of approximately 3 to 8 employees and evaluate performance.
• Provide on‑the‑job training for new employees.
• Oversee ordering, receiving, storage, and issuing of supplies to minimize waste and loss.
• Assist in supervision of food preparation and service during shifts.
• Forecast food items and estimate consumption per shift.
• Ensure world-class customer service and accurate orders.
