Job summary

Jacksons Food Stores, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager in Training (AIT) in Boise, Idaho. This full-time role includes an overnight shift and a $1.00 shift differential on top of the base hourly pay.

The program prepares you to transition into a store manager position by gaining experience in sales, coaching, expenses, losses, and merchandising. You will lead a team, ensure safety, deliver excellent service, and manage daily operations from stocking to deposits while supporting a 24/7 store

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Open availability to meet a 24/7 operation including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Previous leadership experience in food service or retail preferred.
• At least 3 months of customer service experience in retail.
• Passion for providing exceptional customer service.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, attentive service to customers.
• Enforce company policies and procedures with staff.
• Suggest purchases and promote store specials.
• Ensure proper sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of building interior and exterior; restock as needed.
• Assist in training new employees and managing food service programs.
• Respond to emergencies when Store Manager is unavailable.
• Operate register and prepare accurate cashier reports.
