Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations in Reno. You will assist with customer service, organize merchandise flow from delivery to the floor, and help maintain seasonal displays, ensuring accuracy in records and procedures.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and store leadership experience in retail or grocery. You will work in a fast-paced team environment with a focus on safety, cash handling, and staff development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Customer service, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain store displays and promotional fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, records, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked, organized store and stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
