Job summary

One World Fitness LLC (Planet Fitness) seeks an Assistant Manager to oversee a club, drive revenue, maintain a welcoming atmosphere, and coach a team of Member Services Representatives. You will ensure staffing, training, and operational readiness while upholding brand standards.

You will mentor staff in sales, customer experience, and policy adherence, coordinating with General/Regional Managers to implement updates and training programs.

• 1–2 years of successful unit management experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring club is fully staffed, trained, and cleared to operate from Assistant Manager down to Member Services Representatives.
• Create welcoming atmosphere for members and guests with superior customer guidelines.
• Interview/Recruit top talent to elevate club performance.
• Maintain member sign up, cancellations, billing updates, past due accounts, transfers, upgrades/downgrades, calls and tours.
• Communicate equipment and cosmetic gym repairs to General Manager.
• Lead by example and demonstrate proficiency across job sectors.
• Maintain accurate documentation for club operations, members, and staff.
• Stay updated with Planet Fitness corporate training and promotions.
• Run daily reports to analyze club performance and identify improvements.
• Mentor teams for personal development and accountability.
• Drive revenue through memberships, tanning products, and retail sales.
• Collaborate with General Manager and Regional Manager on updates and OKRs.
• Maximize member retention through high standards of customer experience and cleanliness.
